You commit to a strategy to achieve your goals and let nothing, not even market conditions get in the way.  We are often our own worst enemy.  A defined strategy will help us deal with our emotions. Forget the noise around you, the news, a war, or even a pandemic, and simply focus on your strategy. 

​For some people a sound strategy is keep all their money in the bank. For others it might be buying quality real estate with maximum safe leverage to generate income, and over time pay all mortgage debt and enjoy tremendous appreciation. 
​Discipline to Implement the Strategy
Stick with it and see it through to its logical and financially rewarding conclusion. This is touched on above but cannot be stressed enough. Warren Buffet, like all great investors has a strategy he has chosen, and he sticks to it no matter what craziness is going on in the world. This requires extreme focus in a world that constantly wants you to remain confused, overwhelmed and unfocused. 
TIME
Yes the one commodity we cannot buy.  Real estate works over time.  I often say we look like fools the day we buy a home and geniuses 20 years later when its paid off, generating unencumbered income and has doubled in value. Once you achieve the first 3 traits, you simply sit back and allow the miracle of time to do the rest.

The years go by quickly and you will be amazed how your financial picture will start to change. Subtly at first, and then like a tidal wave of positivity to your cash-flow and net worth. Too small to notice in the beginning, but near impossible to ignore a decade later.
